Advertising

advert Nowadays advertising has completely invaded our lives. If we get out of our home, we can see posters of beauty products and stuff like that. If we are in our homes and turn on the TV lots of advertisements come to our eyes, some of them being really boring. But is advertising that good or is it bad?

I think that advertising has its good side. If there was no advertising we couldn’t know about the new products, so we would never know about the advances in technology or some kind of awareness campaigns, for example. This situation could be really upsetting.

On the other hand, advertising has a very bad side. I understand that they want to make us know about their products and so forth, but do they need to do such big advertisements just for one product? I can’t see the reason why they do so. Sometimes people are so tired of that advertisement that they will never (and I mean never) buy the product that is being advertised.

To conclude, I would like to say that I think of advertising as a two-sided coin, none of the sides being dominated by the other.
